Alex Seager

Associate Governor

I am the Deputy Headteacher of Astley Primary School, joining the school in September 2019. Prior to this, I spent the majority of my career working in an urban school in the centre of Ipswich in Suffolk, since qualifying as an NQT in 2009. Within this role, I worked predominantly as a Year 6 class teacher, with varying responsibilities over the years including Science lead, ICT lead and English lead - as well as progressing to become an SLT member and Assistant Headteacher of the school. At Astley, I am excited by the challenge to lead English and KS2 and help shape the future direction of the school, including our new ACE curriculum. I am privileged to have the opportunity to work with so many fantastic staff and children at the school and I am determined to help Astley children achieve their full potential, both now and in the future.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises ten Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
