Jenny Meara

Vice Chair

Trust Appointed Governor

I took early retirement and moved to Briston in 2019 following the successful headship of an outstanding infant school in Luton.

I am delighted to be a Governor here at Astley Primary. I believe that schools must do their very best to ensure that all children are able to meet their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning. This means providing opportunities to engage and motivate all children and ensuring that all barriers to learning and progress are overcome successfully. All decisions made by a school, whether financial, organisational or learning based should keep the children at the heart of it.

I am fully committed to working in partnership with the Governors and the school as part of an effective team to ensure a successful future for every child at Astley Primary School .

Term of office  3/3/20 – 2/2/24 Governors Meeting Attendance: 100%

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises ten Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
