Freya Anderson

Staff Governor

I started at Astley Primary School as a Newly Qualified Teacher(NQT) in 2012. I have been very lucky in that I have had the opportunity to teach in the majority of year groups during my time at Astley. This is my second-year teaching Penguin Class(Y5) in which I thoroughly enjoy. I have relished in the opportunity to move from KS1 into Year 3 then to upper KS2. I was recently appointed the Key Stage Two Lead and joined the Senior Leadership Team - a personal achievement of mine having set my sights on both. I completed my NPQML course last year focusing on Active Maths, which is an area I am passionate about. I am the Maths Curriculum Lead which continues to excite me every day as I am able to shape Maths at Astley to ensure we are providing the children with the opportunity to be ACE lifelong learners, whilst also developing a Mastery approach across the school. I am looking forward to starting my British Sign Language club again, which is another area of particular interest to me.
