House Teams

Astley Primary School values the importance of intra and inter school competition, as well as belonging to an empowering support community.

To help support this the children are divided between four house teams which are:

Amber	Amethyst	Emerald	Ruby

 The children have weekly house team meetings, and throughout the year compete against each other in numerous creative, sporting, and fun events. These include, Art, Basketball, Christmas Competition, Dodgeball, Den building Football, General Knowledge Quiz, Scavenger Hunt, and Sports Week; these are judged by points and by effective teamwork.

The children also receive house points for good behaviour, hard work, and achievements in class. These points are added up over the year and the team scoring the most points and winning the most events become our overall house team winners.

Each house team has two Year 6 house captains and two Year 2 house captains.
