Governor

Hello, I am Jodie. I have been on the Governing board at Astley Primary School since 2023.

I have lived in North Norfolk for most of my life and am a former pupil of Astley. I currently have one child as Astley in year 5, and a three year old at the local nursery school.

I work as a Service Manager of a large volunteer service run by a Norwich based charity; overseeing a team of 10 Volunteer Connectors and almost 100 volunteers! We support people in their homes following a hospital stay to help ensure they can manage independently and live safely. Throughout my career I have worked with all age groups and gained extensive experience in safeguarding of both adults and children, and am passionate about empowering people to achieve their goals at any stage of life.  

I hope that the transferrable skills in quality assurance, data scrutiny and reflective practice that I have acquired during my professional career, as well as my experience as a parent, will enable me to support the governance team at Astley. Helping to ensure that the school continues to provide the high standard of education our children need to reach their potentials and grow to be confident, independent individuals as they move through their education journey.
