Admissions

Admission Policy

First Admissions

There is a single date for admission to the school – except where parents choose to defer this. This is the policy of Norfolk Children’s Services. All children will start school full time in September of the year that they will be 5. There is a short period of part-time admissions for all these pupils. In some cases it may be necessary to extend the period of part-time schooling but this is decided through discussion between parents and teachers.

A meeting is held in the Summer Term where parents of pupils starting in the next academic year can meet their child's teacher and discuss the best way of making the child's start at school as relaxed and comfortable as possible. An Induction Programme is arranged in the Summer Term, where the pre-school children will have chances to visit the school and spend time with each other, the class teacher and the rest of the class.

Other Admissions

Admissions other than at the age of first admissions, where class size permits these, may occur at any time of year. When children are admitted part way through their schooling, they and their parents are encouraged to visit our school prior to this admission. All admissions need to go through county first please call 01603 244383 for further information. The school may be directed, by Norfolk Children’s Services, to admit children even when Infant Class Size legislation or judgement of staff and governors, indicates that classes are full.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
